The NPUAP has three mission committees which work to fulfill the mission of the NPUAP:

Public Policy Committee
Mission: Promote the development and implementation of quality care public policies related to pressure injury prevention and management through collaborations with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Office of the Surgeon General, and other federal and state policymaking bodies.

Education Committee
Mission:Positively affect quality of pressure injury prevention and care by developing and disseminating a variety of educational programs for consumers, health care providers, and others. Educational programs include conferences, bibliography updates, monographs, and educational media.

Research Committee
Mission: Identify and implement strategies for addressing gaps in the state of the science in pressure injury prevention, treatment, education and to disseminate the results of [evidence-based] research applicable to the etiology, prevention and treatment of pressure injury.
